God is good!
With one miracle after another this week, not only were we able to pay the DWP (water & power) bill, but we were also able to pay the balance of the rent due for the month of October. Praise the Lord!
God had already put it on someone’s heart to send us a check; in addition, I had forgotten about an envelope (containing cash) that had been given to me a few weeks prior to this. The two combined was enough to pay the water and power bill.
And… have you ever watched Antiques Roadshow? If you are not familiar with this show, Antiques Roadshow travels around the country, people bring antiques or anything that they think may be of value and have it appraised. Sometimes things are duds and sometimes they are surprisingly worth a great deal of money.
Well, I had one of those items this week. Most of you know that many of my friends and church family have been donating treasures for us to sell either via garage sales or eBay. There is one item in particular that turned out to be a diamond in the rough. I’ve had this item for quite sometime; it wasn’t put it up right away because I knew it would take some research, it just sat around the house. Had I known then what I know now, this would have been put up somewhere very special for safe keeping. It was finally put it up on eBay this week and it brought in an unexpected $1,100.00.
With this money we were able to get caught up on Octobers rent! Thank you Jesus!
My Lord and Savior is continuing to provide for my every need; I am always amazed at how the money comes in, most often it’s in ways that I would have never imagined.
What is this item and who gave it to me? You will have to wait until next week for these answers; I want to notify the one(s) who gave me the item before making it public.
Still no court date… please continue to pray that this will come soon!
The planning for the huge parking lot / garage sale is moving forward. It will be on Saturday, November 10th from 7:00am to 2:00pm . It will be at the church, Granada Hills Community Church , located at 11263 Balboa Blvd. , Granada Hills.
Please continue to pray that the planning of this will go smoothly and that God will bless those who are involved!
And lastly, please pray for my physical body. This week has been a difficult one as far as not feeling good! I have been in bed most of this week, even needing to cancel my doctor appointments. One of which was to get my flu shotL that appointment was an important one for me.
I now realize I did a number on my body when I fell while trying to put out the fire I set a few weeks back. At first I thought that once the bruising went away I would feel better. That’s not the case; I certainly did more damage to my neck, which I know as I can feel it in my arms and I am starting to drop things. That will need to wait though, as I mentioned before, surgery is out of the question for now.
I also managed to mess my knees up, the left one is giving me more problems than the right one. Since the x-rays were negative I am off to see an Orthopedic Surgeon on Monday. Please pray that God will give the doctor wisdom to see what she needs to see. Also, that God will bring the best treatment possible to this doctor’s mind, so that we won’t be wasting any time.
By the way, if you feel like asking God to do a miraculous healing in my body, I am open to that too.
